Prinzing is no doubt, a name that you have never read or heard of during your life time. Reuel N. Prinzing is not someone that has been in the limelight or public eye. So why should you read this book? Every person has interesting stories to tell about events that have happened in their life. The problem is most families do not keep historical records so the knowledge of events and stories are soon lost forever. Chapter one begins with a brief history of Reuel’s ancestors, starting with his great grandparents, immigrating to America from Germany in 1854. Chapter two begins with the date of Reuel’s birth, on May 6, 1934. Reuel was born, in Faribault, Minnesota, during the “Great Depression.” His childhood was spent in very humble surroundings. Agreeing with the time old saying, “One picture is worth a thousand words,” the book has an average of fourteen photographs in each of it’s thirty-two chapters. Many wonderful and interesting things happened to Reuel along his journey through life. You will find “My Life Story, Though My Eyes” a very interesting story as you journey along with Reuel N. Prinzing through the first seventy-seven years of his life.

Mr. Prinz wrote this memoir for his children, but I found it a rewarding account. He has life lessons for us all, and while his memoir strays into very mundane matters here and there, I consider that a strength.This book is a testament to the power of E-publishing, which Prinz explains how he made this epub book. There was no editor telling him he couldn't put over 400 photographs in the book, no editor telling him to leave out how to make a living trust, and the reader is better for it.
I am sorry that he had a hard life growing up. I too had a harsh father. Thanks to Amazon as well for hosting Kindle works like this.

This is a fairly good book but has tons of typos. He just recalls his whole life without very much excitement.
My maiden name is Prinzing so I was excited to read more about that side of the family. Reuel is an engaging storyteller and I was surprised at the things I learned from reading his book. My grandfather, Daniel Shillock Prinzing, was also a wonderful storyteller and I wish I had a written narrative of his life that I could share with my grandchildren. Thank you for making this available for us to read. I enjoyed it very much.

I have walked in his foot steps at times. I have lived in Northern Arizona just as Reuel. Had a rough childhood too as Reuel , but only I was raised in the city. Good read!
I loved this book. I love reading life stories. The thing I like about this book is the pictures, the details, the history and the fact that it wasn't all just the good. Every life has good and bad, and he showed that even at the worst parts of life, you can always count on it getting better. Good read.
I love reading lives through other lives. This was a detail account if a life. Reuel gave us a piece of his. Every one of us has a story. We should be more willing to learn our past and share it! Love it or hate it this is a part of our history. Thank you for sharing.
